St Andrew’s Church Bells
The bell ringers at St Andrew’s Tower are proud members of the Bridgwater Branch of the Bath and Wells Diocesan Association of Change Ringers.
For centuries, church bells have rung out across communities, calling people to worship, marking celebrations and moments of remembrance, and commemorating special events.
Bellringing is a unique team activity that challenges the mind, keeps you active, and fills the air with glorious sound. Many see it as their way of contributing to church life, while others ring simply for the joy it brings.
Bellringing is a team activity that stimulates the brain, helps keep you fit and it makes a glorious sound. Most people 9 to 99 can learn to ring.
Sunday service ringing is from 09:15 to 10:00 and practice nights are 19:30 on Wednesday.

Hi, my name as Roger Packer. I first started ringing bells at St Andrews at the age of 14 in 1958 and became tower captain in 1978.
We are a good team of enthusiast ringers from all walks of life who enjoy the art of change ringing.
